United States Chapter: Miami and Wellington

In the summer of 2022, Hana Travner set out on her “American dream,” moving to Florida, USA. She established herself in South Florida, where for two years she ran the Next Level Performance Center (Davie, FL), a boutique high-performance training and boarding facility. From that base, Travner continued competing and coaching clients on the demanding North American circuit. Her time in the U.S. led her to compete at the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington, one of the most important equestrian circuits in the world, and to make her debut at the 2023 Global Champions Tour in Miami Beach, riding against the sport’s elite. In Wellington—considered the winter capital of equestrian sport—Travner showed several of her horses in international classes, posting clear rounds up to 1.30–1.40 m during WEF. In parallel, she took on the role of trainer in Florida, bringing her European expertise to American riders and becoming involved in sourcing and sales of show jumpers.
After two intense years in North America, in 2024 Hana Travner decided to return to Europe with the clear goal of resuming top-level competition and continuing her sporting career on the European circuit. Her experience in Miami and Wellington has given her a broader international perspective, which she now applies on her return to European arenas.

Coaches, Mentors & Collaborations

Throughout her career, Hana Travner has strengthened her professional training by working with leading coaches and equestrian centers. In her early years in Slovenia she was guided by local instructors who helped her reach the international stage. Once in Spain, her main mentor was Diana Marsá, owner of Emiralia Stables, who trusted Hana as both a rider and a trainer for her yard. Working side by side with Marsá, Travner refined her teaching skills and the management of a high-performance competition stable. She also collaborated for two years with Carlos Borho Girón, head of Oliva Nova and the MET, contributing her expertise to preparing horse–rider combinations during Spain’s winter circuits.
As a coach, Hana Travner has guided riders of all levels—from amateurs to young talents—instilling her philosophy of prioritizing the partnership (the horse–rider connection) over quick wins. This approach was on full display while she directed the Next Level Performance Center in Florida, where she combined managing the club with coaching local clients, adapting European methods to the American competitive environment. Under her tutelage, several students improved their ring performance, benefitting from Travner’s broad international experience.
Today, back in Europe, Hana Travner continues to collaborate with equestrian centers and colleagues in the sport. She maintains professional ties in Spain—a country she considers her “second home”—as well as in the United States, through the network she built during her time in Florida. Her dedication to the sport and to teaching has made her not only a competitive rider but also a respected trainer in the equestrian world.
